This would be the 'kicker'... of a horrible, horrible week <:((

Wow. This was probably the worst week I've ever had... definitely the worst week of my university life.

Monday, worked like crazy finishing up my Poli Essay; Tuesday studied like crazy for my cpsc midterm; Wednesday wrote a probably mediocre midterm... finally got a decent night of sleep (prolly the best day of the week); Thursday got unlucky... cop pulls me over for not making a full stop at the stop sign on chancellor (went through it at 10km/h...) and gives me a 140 dollar ticket. Friday, worked on my polisci assignment and handed it in... at least the night was pretty fun...

And then Sunday:

Waiting on a green light to turn left from Oak Street to Park Drive. The light turns yellow, and two cars in the incoming lanes of traffic come to a stop. I start to angle my car left... by this time the light is already red. Then, Mr. Black Civic on the inside lane of incoming traffic decides to accelerate at this point of time instead of slow down.... so yah the rest isn't hard to figure out. He blows through the red light and smokes the driver side of my car.

The result is all this horrible, horrible damage that was inflicted on my poor, poor car:

ARRRRRRGH.... good as new a few hours before, now look at it !
And yah, in the third photo those are both of the airbags after they deployed....
Dumb thing punched me in the face and gave me a bloody nose...

Relatively Good News: I have the testimony of a witness who confirms that the black civic went through a red light. In other words, he's leaning towards my side, and to my knowledge, he's the only witness to the accident that offered to help.

Bad News: The guy who hit me is from Washington. This means 2 things - dealing with insurance will be a bit more complicated; and since he's from the States, theres a pretty good chance he's going to try to screw me over somehow. In all seriousness, he's way more likely to sue me for some personal injury than to apologize for running the red light and taking my car away from me. I'm not very happy about that.

Realistically: I'm really thankful that I wasn't hurt badly. I'm praying that the guy will be reasonable about the whole thing, and that he won't act like a jerk and bring this to court.
Hopefully things will work out for the best...

Yup yup... at the very least, this week has to be better than the last, right ?

Oh man...

Well the important thing is that nobody was hurt. I remember driving around a bit in Vancouver the last time we were out there in August and I noticed that the lanes were narrower and there are a lot more crazy drivers around. Those Americans... j/k

On the brighter side, at least for next week you'll have nowhere to go but up :)

Heh, it was kinda dumb.. I didn't have to go to the hospital, but then the police didn't come. They said unless I needed an ambulance, they wouldn't come (@_@). So... pieces of my headlight may still be in the middle of the intersection :p
